Kem Nunn novels are just great, particularly the ones that centre on surfers. His books aren't most uplifting, focusing on the darker side of the Californian surf scene and featuring drop-outs on the edge of society as the main characters. 'Tapping the Source' is possibly the best of the bunch and could possibly the best surf novel ever written, well at least in my eyes..
'In Search of Captain Zero' by A.C Weisbecker details a fantastic trip through central America by the Author to find an old friend of his, catching a few waves on the way. His other book,'Cosmic Banditos', has nothing to do with surfing but is very funny a definately worth a read.
